Deborah Mechigian Artist, Chef, Sometimes jeweler

Deb is a 35 yrs. Arizona native currently living in Flagstaff. Her passion for the exquisite vistas in this state, especially the Grand Canyon, inspires her to paint both in acrylic and recently pastels. Deb has been seriously painting for over 20 years, has studied in Tucson, but is largely self taught.

Deb currently teaches landscape painting thought the Museum of Northern Arizona and the Artists’ Coalition of Flagstaff. She also hosts Plein Air outings every week during the summer and is a member of Arizona Plein Air Painters.

The observation of nature is to see, feel and experience the essence of color, shadow and atmosphere.
